Having tried out the angelina fibre when fusing flowers into organza, in my previous study, I researched more on angelina fibres and its properties. Pisces Art have a downloadable PDF worksheet of different activities and properties for this material and I wanted to try some out, using my wooden indian print blocks which were jumping on my shelf. I tried using the fibre to make medallions, which entailed heating the fibre over the block print surface. It formed a solid shape which was indented with the relief from the block. Quite effective.
I popped them onto silk which I had pleated and gathered, to see the impact of the colour reflection. It is an intriguing process, and I might try again but with a more structured, pre-sketched design to construct.
